Movie
Saedy Fi Gamah Elamrikyah
The movie is about as per its name the story of a student from Upper Egypt who obtained a scholarship to study in the American university. Heneidy is a young sa’idi guy who came from his village to Cairo for the first time in his life to study in the American university as he got very high marks in the high school. He faced many plight comedy situations as a result of this great change in his life. As well the guy who refused such a strange guy in the American university environment and the other group of guys who stand with him and helped him to face his problems and obstacles.
The star Ahmad El Sakka in the movie is acting as a very close friend of Heniedy.
It considered as a youth film as it is the first film of youth which could gain more profits and achieve more success and ended the era of the big stars with no exceptions in the middle of the 90th. It achieved the highest profit in the history of the Egyptian cinema which exceeded 27 million Egyptian pounds. Despite the simple idea of the movie but it could get back the people to the cinema halls which have been neglected by the effect of the video tapes. The movie introduced for us new stars who were not famous before it but later after the movie they became super stars. It opens the doors for the producers to take the risk and use their money in movies depending on young stars who were not from the super stars as it was before the movie appearance. After this movie Ahmad El Sakka became a hero and super star, Heniedy as well, Alaa Waly Eldin as well. The second line actors became the first line stars and the heroes and main characters of movies in the Egyptian cinema. After the cinema production was two or three movies maximum, the cinema halls could not match the production of only one producer so This movie and for sure is a great sign in the history of the Egyptian cinema without any denying although its simplicity.
